How To Start With Email Marketing

Everyone is saying ” Money Is In The List”.

Also, you probably heard that you need to start this at the beginning of your marketing journey.

I made the mistake of not taking this on board for as long as 5 years. The only reason for that was that I did not believe people opened up these emails and bothered with reading them.

The first step is to choose an email marketing service provider.

There are lots of options for you to choose from. Make sure you spent some time on this. Check your budget, requirements for your marketing.

Most importantly, choose an autoresponder company, whose delivery hits the inbox.

You do not want all your hard work wasted because the emails end up at spam boxes.

I used Aweber for almost 10 years. Happy with them. Promote them to my clients as they offer a good service and value for money. They have a trial for free, so you can try with the link below.

The next step is to plan your email marketing.

Are you going to deliver information about a service? or are you going to be selling your product?

Planning this out on a paper beforehand is really important. There are real people who will read your emails so never forget that. Even if you are promoting a product, make sure you tell the benefits to the reader.

Once all planned out. You can write your first email. This is called a welcome email.

I don’t think there is a rule to it. Make it genuine. People have taken the time and opted in to read about you so you can thank them for this and explain what is in store for them in this series.

I do get a lot of emails and promotions at my inbox. I think regularly I read about 4 or 5 marketers. The only reason is that they come across as they are.

They never pretended to be a Guru as many people take pride in these days. They sent me emails on what they know. And if I need this info, I read it.

If there is a promotion or sales. I check it out. Most of the time there is a bonus and when I need this bonus, I do buy it.

The above is how I think most of us react to email marketing. Probably in the next 1o years, we will even be more selective.

So the final words on this post. Be yourself. Deliver the message and the information you have.

No need for fancy words or made-up stories.
